The Wedding
Katherine and Richard's day started in a pair of beautiful old cottages in Edwinstowe not far from Hazel Gap - the girls in one and the guys in the other. Katherine was surrounded by her bridesmaids, mum and mother of the groom while they all got ready.




Richard and his groomsmen calmed their nerves with beer before setting off for Hazel Gap to wait for Katherine.






Katherine was absolutely stunning in her Blue by Enzoani dress.




When Katherine's dad saw her all ready to go, the bridesmaids were in tears (I think her dad was too).




Richard and the guys very excitedly waiting for Katherine to arrive at Hazel Gap.




The beautiful bridesmaids made their entrances.




Then it was Katherine's turn with the proudest dad in the world at that moment.




Plenty of laughs and jokes during the ceremony, and a killer first kiss!



A whole tonne of confetti greeted the newly weds after the ceremony.




The groomsmen practiced their squat thrusts (?)……..



…. while the bridesmaids and Katherine looked effortlessly beautiful.




The gardens at Hazel Gap are perfect for some naturalistic portraits.




And the wonderful woodland provides a soft and romantic feel for some lovely images of a gorgeous couple.



It was then time to head inside for the wedding breakfast. Katherine and Richard made lots of personal touches to the styling.




Katherine's family friend was the MC in wellies (I never did find out why), and the speeches were well received by their friends and family - even the one given in latin by Katherine's dad (a definite first for me at a wedding)!




The evening guests arrived…



The cake was cut and then…..




The first dance as husband and wife. And these two really can dance - just look at Richard strutting his stuff!




The guests, and even the band at one point, threw themselves onto the dance floor.



Then all too soon my day was over, so we went out for a last few portraits in the dark and I left them to party until the early hours.
